Frog Gigging

Frog gigging is the sport of hunting bullfrogs at night using a frog gig. A frog gig has several sharp tines sticking straight out. The gig gets attached to a long pole or stick. You find the frogs by following their loud bull like sound that they make at night. When you get close enough, you shine a bright light into their eyes and they freeze in place and that gives you a chance to gig them. One of my frog gigging tips is to aim for the body; not the head, and follow through on the jab. The rear legs are good to eat. They taste a little like white meat chicken, but better. Also, they have the texture of dark meat chicken since they are not as dry as normal white meat.
